The Starin Park Water Tower is the 2nd of the oldest fully-functioning municipal water towers in the state.  It was designated as a local landmark by the Whitewater Landmarks Commission.  The tower is eight fool tall, made of limestone and is octagonal shaped with a tank on top that holds 185,000 gallons of water state.  The limestone was taken from a quarry on the south side of the city.  It was completed in 1889.  Duane Starin donated the land in 1888 for the construction of the tower which was the highest built structure in the city at the time.   The park provided housing for veterans during and after WWII and still hosts many events and celebrations.

It is said that witches would surround the tower and perform rituals  Also said an altar is buried nearby the tower.
