About Me

Bernadette

Investigator-In-Training

About Me:

Day job:

Semi-retired but I still teach EMS and work at a Urgent Care facility.

How did you get into the paranormal?

I see dead people? I have seen and heard weird stuff, was intrigued by death since I was very young and just wondered what the heck happens to us. My first book I bought with my own money was Faces of Death...I was a weird kid.

What special talents do I bring to the team?

I'm very interested in history and personal stories. I am still trying to navigate my way through the internet to find out more information about places, people and events. I used to go to the library (the place before cell phones and the internet for you youngsters) and look through old books and newspapers.

What is my dream investigation?

Probably an investigation in the UK- Scotland, Ireland or England or just about anywhere in Europe. I was in Ireland several years ago and did some castle touring but did not dive into a true investigation.

What is my favorite investigation?

I would have to say the Missouri State Penitentiary was so far the best. My teammate Karen and I were able to investigate on our own. Since we signed up for a "group tour" it was a pleasant surprise that the lead guide gave us free reign due to temperatures that night being in the 80s. It was a great night!

Media recommendations?

I'm a paranormal TV show nerd but I would love to hear suggestions about great books to read- since my semi-retirement, I vow to read more books!

What made me choose USPR over other groups?

My path led me to USPR Investigators Kelly and Jose who are outstanding humans. It was their suggestion to interview for the team.

Fun Fact:

I have dual citizenships- US and Ireland. Both sets of my grandparents were born in Ireland so I had an opportunity to apply for citizenship. I am the last generation given this honor so I took advantage of it.
