Rustic and Reclaimed
History:
Built 1921-1922 by Thomas and Mary (Mollie) Somerville. They moved their bakery from Chicago and Highland Park in 1897 and moved to Antioch in 1902. The first bakery was located in the Opera House Building at the Southwest corner of Lake Street and Main. The building was owned by Jim Wilton.
Prior to the build, it was a farmhouse owned by the Ingalls Family. The original foundation of the farmhouse is at the current location.
When the building was built, a group of Civil War Soldier Veterans would meet and have coffee. It was said that “Each morning at 8, the old timers congregated upon the thoroughfare and didn’t budge until the day ended commenting on how the building was being built.” These gentlemen wanted to make sure they got to watch the entire building being built and would be upset if they missed any of the build. Members of this group included: Horner Hendee, R.D. Emmons, Abe Crowley, Eli Judd, Jos. Savage, J.B. Burnette, Frank Garland, John Spafford, John Didama, B.F. Van Patten, Henry Billett, William Gray, George Hockney, Gus Shilke, Ed Wells, and John McGuire.

Claims:
The location occupants commented that things would fall off the walls and a bar of soap was found a distance away from the display with no explanation.
Experiences:
During our investigation ,Bryan and Scott witnessed a white light orb circle the floor and then disappear. A little girl's giggle is heard both upstairs and downstairs. While in the basement, the team asked for two knocks if they wanted us to leave, and two clear knocks were heard in response to the request. Shadows were seen in the basement as well.
